We are currently recruiting and would be pleased to meet with applicants to discuss their potential role in the team. This may be the first rung on the ladder to becoming a chartered engineer or a continuation of an existing career.
We believe in progressing the skills and careers of potential staff and will provide support to those wishing to expand their horizons, whether that be through college courses or on the job learning.
We are keeping an open mind with regard to experience as we have work to suit all levels.
As a guide we would expect applicants to have good mathematical skills, some practical or theoretical knowledge of engineering and good communication skills.
Other skills and experience we would be interested in are as follows:
- Computer aided design (CAD).
- Building or site work.
- Surveying.
- Drainage design.
- Highways.
The responsibilities of a fully experienced member of the team would normally include:
- Preparing engineering calculations using Excel spreadsheets, our 3D finite element analysis software (RFEM by Dlubal) and other design tools.
- Producing engineering designs and drawings using AutoCAD.
- Attending site meetings and surveys.
- Dealing with clients and other professionals via email, phone and in person.
- Filing and organising digital data.
